Systems Interface awarded NDB/DME replacement contract by Irish Air Corps

Systems Interface has been awarded a ‘Turnkey’ contract by the Irish Air Corps, Department of Defence, to supply, install and commission a replacement Non-Directional Beacon (NDB) Transmitter and Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) at Gormanston Camp, County Meath, Ireland.

Systems Interface (SIL) will provide all civil works on site to replace the end-of-life equipment with a Nautel Vector 125-Watt Solid State Dual NDB Transmitter, Antenna Tuning Unit complete with SIL Self Supporting 10m Mast with mast lighting transformer kit. The NDB will be collocated with a Normarc Dual System 1000-Watt High Power  Distance Measuring Equipment (DME). Both Systems will have full remote control and monitoring to two off site locations, all equipment will be installed in a new Equipment Shelter and compound area

Installation is scheduled to commence in July 2020.
