ROMATSA specialise in the provision of air traffic services for the aircraft operating GAT (General Air Traffic) flights, under IFR (Instrument Flight Rules) conditions, within the Romania airspace, and any other airspace allotted to Romania in accordance with international agreements.
Each System, specially designed and configured to meet ROMATSA’s precise specifications, included a VR125SX2 125W Solid State Fully Dual NDB system, an ATU500SR 125W Antenna Tuning Unit, a Remote Beacon Monitor Receiver and Active Loop Antenna, Remote Maintenance Monitor, Low Failure & LRU Spares Set, and Test Equipment.
The specification for the system required two separate single VR125 NDB transmitters configured into a dual (pair mode) with automatic main/standby switching – each transmitter will operate independently.
All the systems were successfully flight checked and put into service and the project completed in January 2012.
These Non-Directional Beacons were installed to be used as a means of radio-navigation on route and in the terminal area.
This contract is a further recognition of Systems Interface's enviable reputation for delivering on time and in budget throughout the world.
