Second Sri Lanka Contract

Systems Interface has been awarded a second major contract for the supply and installation of an ILS (Instrument Landing System) a DME (Distance Measuring System) a Middle Marker (MM) and a Doppler VHF Omnidirectional Range (DVOR) at the soon to be completed Hambantota International Airport, Mattala, Sri Lanka.

Contracts were signed in November 2011 between Queens Group Sri Lanka and China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd, for the supply and installation by Systems Interface, Queens Group’s valued partner in Sri Lanka, for a Normarc 7000 ILS, a Normarc 7050D MM, two Moog Fernau 2020 DME’s and a Interscan VRB-53D DVOR.

Completion of installation will be early September 2012 when Hambantota will become Sri Lanka’s 2nd International Airport complying with ICAO Standards.
