Jersey En-Route DVOR and DME Replacement
Systems Interface Limited was awarded the contract for this major “turnkey” project to replace the En-Route DVOR/DME for Jersey Airport. The contract included the Supply, Installation and Commissioning of a new DVOR and DME, complete with full remote control and monitoring along with the refurbishment of the existing Counterpoise and the supply and installation of a new bespoke equipment shelter fitted out with all ancillaries.

The DVOR/DME location is ‘off airport’ in the village of St Martin and located in a residential area with very restrictive road access. Delivery of the new equipment shelter and removal of the old equipment hut proved to be a challenge. But with the aid of a 40 ton crane, we lifted the 5 Ton shelters over neighbouring houses to its final position.
Working to a tight completion deadline the replacement system became Operational early August 2013.
