Andorra - La Seu, Spain AFIS contract award17-Sep-2014
Systems Interface, based in the UK, has won the contract to supply, install and commission a complete Aerodrome Flight Information Service system (AFIS) at Andorra-La Seu Airport, Spain for Servicos Aeronáuticos Control Y Navegación SL (SAERCO).
Systems Interface will supply a suite of Frequentis products including:
- Fully IP based VCCS, that is completely compliant to EUROCE ED-137B Standards, allowing voice communication and data, in addition to information services, to be shared on the same network.
- DIVOS 3 log recording system that offers recording of all relevant information such as, voice, screen, radar and all other data of interest.
- TAPTOOLS to include smartNAV, smartMET and smartLICOS control and monitoring system to provide a single interface to Airfield Lighting, Meteorological data and Alarm Monitoring.
The contract also includes the supply and installation of Transceiver Radios and Master Clock.
Installation will commence by the end of 2014.
Andorra-La Seu Airport reopened in June 2010. Conveniently located in the middle of the Pyrenees near Andorra and close to skiing areas and parks, it will become a public and commercial airport later this year.
SAERCO is the first Spanish private company certified by the State Agency of Air Safety (AESA) to provide air navigation services in compliance with the Single European Sky and Common Requirements established.
Established in 2010 SAERCO are currently designated by Spanish Authority DGAC to provide Air Traffic Services at La Palma, Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, and Andorra- La Seu airports.
